Tony Moly Intense Care Snail BB Cream

After hearing a friend mention that Korean women (renowned for their flawless complexions) never leave the house without putting on some BB cream, I rushed off to purchase one for myself.

Tony Moly’s Intense Care Snail BB Cream has a pleasant lemony scent which helps you ignore the fact that you’re slathering snail mucus all over your face.  That ick factor aside, this BB cream is actually quite good.  Its creamy formula allows for easy blending.  I like that it doesn’t sit on top of your pores but is quickly absorbed by the skin.  It also has SPF 45 so it cuts down some your prep time in the morning.

Can I just say that I love their packaging.  The first thing you’ll notice is that although it’s in a tube, it has a pump dispenser that ensures a hygienic and controlled delivery of the product.  And when you’re about the finish a tube, you can easily twist off the pump to squeeze out the remaining cream inside, minimizing wastage.

However, because it only provides light coverage, you will still need your concealer and foundation to cover up any dark spots or blemishes you might have.  Also, before putting this on, I suggest that you apply some moisturizer first, otherwise, the dryness of your skin could be made more noticeable.  Another thing that disappointed me was, despite its promise to control oil and to allow make up to last longer, I find myself having to blot at least twice a day and retouch by mid-day.

Overall, it’s a pretty decent BB cream.  It may not be a miracle all-in-one product but I’d buy it again because it acts as a sunscreen with light coverage that instantly brightens up my skin.  It’s perfect for those days when you’re in a rush to leave or for lazy weekends when you don’t want to be bothered with putting on foundation.
