While online dating has yet to become truly significant in the Philippines (take note, online dating is not the same as “Eye Balls” and random hookups on Facebook), it is now accepted in the US/Canada. Sites like eHarmony and Match.com require participants to sign up for a paid membership, as well as answering hundreds of questions to help them screen potentials.
Well these sites take it to the next level. These dating sites cater to very specific interest group, such as:
Trek Passions – for the Sci-Fi Lovers. Enough said.
Farmers Only – for the Down to Earth Country Folk! And it does make sense, I mean, who will you meet while tending to your farm?
The Ugly Bug Ball – for the aesthetically average.
Vampire Passions – for the lovers of the undead. And for sure a lot of people are now into this, thanks to Edward and Bella. I am not judging. (Okay, maybe a bit)
The Atlasphere – for admirers of Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged (hello Ayn Rand fans!)
ZombieHarmony – for people who think that the apocalypse doesn’t have to be a lonely experience
Cupidtino – for the die-hard apple fanboys and girls out there. I know a few people who should sign up for this!
