We all love Hello Kitty right? Well Gem and her Misdaventures in Taiwan will show you that even 7-11 carry Hello Kitty. Remember this is Taiwan, the land where they have Hello Kitty Maternity Wards and Hello Kitty Airplanes.
The fourth video of Gem’s Misadventures in Taiwan is probably the funniest too. Gem gives us a tutorial on how to open a Marble Soda. Here it is:
Tea Eggs are a favorite Taiwan snack. I remember eating them almost daily when I went there for my six (6) week summer study tour. In the third video of this series, Gem shows us Tea Eggs which she got from the many 7-11 stores around the metro.
For the second video in Gem’s Video series, she tackles instant noodles eaten as chips rather than the normal cooked ones we’re used to. I’ve been telling people that this is the best emergency kit food, and that any type of Pancit Canton can be eaten this way during desperate times! See!
Back when our friend Gem was living in Taiwan, she produced and starred in several videos called “Misadventures in Taiwan.” I chose six (6) of the most amusing ones for this series. Here is the first video where she talks about Scooter Masks which is apparently popular there:
On the last video of this series, Gem goes around to show us Shaved Ice Desserts like Ice Monster, but from small eateries along the streets. Wary as I am of street food, I really wonder how these desserts taste like, because it looks appetizing and dirty! Hahahaha!
